Vibrations

There was a man who was felicitated on his completing 100 years age. Everyone was keen to know the secret of his longevity and resounding health. The man said that the secret was in something that happened while he was a young lad. He witnessed his old maid once in pensive mood while she was working. When he enquired, she reluctantly spoke about her only son’s ill-health and how his medical bills were going beyond her means. There was both desperation and helplessness on her wrinkled face. The young man promised to undertake the entire cost of her son’s medical expense and allowed her to proceed on a long leave to be by her son. After some weeks, she returned straight to her young master. Her son had fully recovered after a surgery. There were tears in her eyes as she spoke, “My son, I have nothing worth enough to give to express my gratitude. MAY YOU LIVE A HUNDRED YEARS.” The man could experience strong vibrations of true feelings and blessings pour out of her whole being. He felt good. Maybe those vibrations were still vibrating in keeping him the way he was since then. Perhaps medical science is still unable to gauge the strength and intensity of all this. Cold we not also experience these vibrations through small, small gestures in our life? We need to feel them through a personal experience to realise their immense power which could stand as the only cure when all else failed. It is perhaps our only insurance which can never fail. Raj Kapoor said it all in his immortal song:
“Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisar
Kisika dard mil sake to le udhar
Kisike vaste ho tere dil mein pyaar
Jeena isi ka nam hai...”
P.S.: I won’t be in Mumbai from 4th to 9th December, 2017 as I proceed for friend’s wedding to Baroda.
