Jeevan Yatra …. The journey of life When we talk about life, it is always spoken about as a journey that begins at birth and ends at death. We have been gifted with life not to die one day, but to live it optimally till death comes. We may be born as humans, but to live like a human is in our hands. A human being’s life is best lived when he learns the art of living. This art of living can be defined in three steps: Dissect the word Jeevan into its 3 parts, To live (Jee-jeevavu) To grow (Va-vadhavu) To bow down in humility (Na-namavu) As humans we have an upper hand over the other living beings. To live our lives we are blessed with three exceptional gifts. The first gift being 'the power of speech' that helps express our feelings in words. Sorry for not writing on the blog for so long... Just did not get any inspirational thought... An academic year has just ended and we are beginning the admission for the next year both at Saldhanas and my residence... Since last year I have also started taking junior college (11th-12th) at both the premises and in case if you'll know anybody (friends, cousins, neighbours, etc.) You can suggest to them to get in touch with me on 23674824 from Friday 31st May... since am out of town till Thursday night... Ever since Sir Saldhana passed away we have missed having a great math teacher since nobody can replace him... this in turn have affected the quantum of admissions even for accounts... And so I have decided to teach all 5 years to re-infuse life and zeal. I do not know to what extent will I succeed without your love, support and good wishes and the blessings of Sir... Gurukuls were residential schools in ancient India where students spent their entire youth under the guidance of their gurus. The gurus imparted wisdom to their students in exchange for respect and discipline without charging any fees for their service. As modernization took over, Gurukuls faded to extinction. The greatest Teacher (Jagat Guru) that Lord Krishna was is so evident in the 2 verses of the Geeta (Chapter 2), where He gives, step-by-step, the ladder of fall of a person leading to his complete perish. The Lord says, “A man musing over some sense-object develops an attachment for them, from attachment arises desires, from desires arises anger, from anger arises delusion, from delusion loss of memory and intellect, from loss of intellect, he perishes.” The starting point is the indiscriminate thought flow we entertain for any sense-object (person, etc.) which is unscrutinized by our intellect and ground reality. The legend (Rajesh Khanna) that he was became clear to the world of today as people ran after the flower bedded Truck carrying the only “Superstar” of movies. The scene was not much different from the way the world (fans) ran after his car, a few decades back, wherever he went. Somebody rightly noted in the many articles written on him in the last week – “He had to die to remind us that he was alive and a legend.” Kaka was always my personal favorite as being among the last of actors who spoke with his eyes. Yes, this comes thr’ after a while (Break ke Baad). The reason being that nothing was happening really which deserved to be reported / re-acted upon. The Thursday philosophy lectures at my Residence started a month back with lots of fun and fare. Many wanted it, demanded it and worked to get it started. But unfortunately, it started fizzling out also that soon. It was difficult for people to come regularly as something would crop up that day which deserved their priority attention dis-abling them from coming for the class. I am sure most of times it could be genuine. And so, the 2nd class was attended by 3 people (one of them being an outstation ex-student). The 3rd class had 0 attendance and so was the 4th class where 2 people landed up 1 hour late. Perhaps, this did not come as a surprise to me having had such experiences on previous occasion too. But still, I gave it a shot since the supply must be there if there is a demand. If the demand goes/ dissolves, the supply must wait. But ...
